Ratings and Content Warnings

Cabaret Fringe Festival is an open-access festival and does not see or curate any of the works prior to the festival. All events are self-rated by the Artists and Events, and Cabaret Fringe Festival does not take any responsibility for an incorrect rating, or unsuitability of an event.

Unless an Event is categorised as a children’s event, the content may not be suitable for all ages. It is your responsibility to check the rating and/or suitability of an event for any children for whom you are purchasing tickets.

Please note, some venues may have liquor licensing in place that does not allow under 18s entrance past a certain time, even if accompanied by an adult. If unsure, you are advised to contact the venue.

A rating of 18+ is strictly restricted to patrons 18 or older. This could be due to content of the event or liquor licensing regulations at the venue. If you purchase a ticket that is for an 18+ performance and you are denied admittance, you will not be refunded the ticket price.
Dissatisfaction with the content or rating of an event does not entitle the customer to a refund.

Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the program and its details, however event details, prices and ratings are subject to change wherever necessary and without notice.

Fees

All tickets include a $3.30 Customer Booking Fee, included in the advertised ticket price.

This fee is refundable.

All transactions made online at www.cabaretfringefestival.com and through TryBooking, may incur a web Transaction Fee. This fee is non-refundable.

Any discounted ticket offer does not apply to the $3.30 Customer Booking Fee. The discount will only apply to the ticket price less the $3.30 Customer Booking Fee.

Refunds

All ticket sales are final. Cabaret Fringe Festival will not refund, cancel or exchange any ticket except in accordance with Live Performance Australia (LPA) Ticketing Code of Practice and otherwise as required by law.

Refunds are only permitted if a performance is cancelled, re-scheduled or significantly re- located (and you cannot or do not wish to attend the re-scheduled or re-located event).

If you are late to a show, the Venue staff may refuse to admit you unless there is a suitable break in the performance. In these circumstances, you will not be entitled to a refund.

If an event or performance is cancelled, your ticket may be exchanged or refunded via the point of sale.

If the ticket price is discounted after you purchase your ticket, you will not be entitled to a refund.

Refunds for tickets purchased by credit card will be refunded to that credit card.

Tickets purchased by cash, cheque or EFTPOS will be refunded by direct EFT deposit.

Exchanges

Cabaret Fringe Festival offers exchanges on tickets if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The request for an exchange is submitted to Cabaret Fringe Festival in writing by emailing info@cabaretfringefestival.com
  • The request for an exchange is made at a minimum of 48 hours prior to the original performance start time
  • The original performance is not sold out
  • The request for exchange is for the same event
  • The performance you are requesting to exchange into must be of equal or greater value. You will not be refunded the difference in price type
  • The customer has provided proof of the destruction of the original tickets, should hard copy tickets have been issued
  • The request is approved by the artist or presenter, after being submitted in writing by Cabaret Fringe Festival

A $5.00 exchange fee is payable by the customer at the time of exchange, if the exchange is approved.

If exchanging into a cheaper performance, customers will not be reimbursed the difference in ticket price.

General Terms and Conditions

If an event is cancelled, no obligation is assumed by Cabaret Fringe Festival for arranging a substitute event. If the event organiser permits refunds, the customer booking fee included in the advertised ticket price is non-refundable. Refunds for tickets purchased by credit card will be refunded to that credit card. Tickets purchased by cash, cheque or EFTPOS will be refunded by cheque.

The right is reserved by the event organiser to add, withdraw or substitute artists or vary advertised events, ticket prices, audience capacity or seating arrangements and make other variations as necessary.

The venue’s management reserves the right to refuse admission.
No audio or video recorders or cameras may be taken into the venue or used without permission of the event organiser and venue management by prior arrangement. A breach of this condition may lead to the confiscation of all equipment and removal of the patron from the venue. Mobile phones taken into the venue may not be used for the purpose of recording the performance.

No drugs, weapons, food, glass containers, umbrellas or lasers may be taken into the venue.

Some venues have no alcohol or non-smoking restrictions. Refer to conditions of entry at the venue.

The event organiser reserves the right to film, video, record, photograph, broadcast or telecast the event.

TryBooking collects your personal information in case of an event cancellation or change. If you fail to supply sufficient and appropriate contact information TryBooking and Cabaret Fringe Festival are not responsible for failure to contact you.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Terms and Conditions

In the case of any Government enforced restrictions, Cabaret Fringe Festival will be guided by the State Government of South Australia, SA Health, and LPA.

Changes to Events
Cabaret Fringe Festival and the Event organisers reserve the right to alter prices, audience capacity or seating arrangements on the advice of Government and State organisations in response to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In the event of a Coronavirus (COVID-19) related government closure, ticket holders will be contacted via email and presented with options to remedy the cancellation. Ticket holders will have 7 (seven) days to respond to us, indicating which option they select. Failure to notify us of your selection within 7 days of the email being sent will infer that you select to donate the full ticket amount to the artist and/or venue at our election (refer to option 2 below).

  1. Reschedule: If the Event is rescheduled for a new date, ticket holders will be exchanged into the rescheduled performance. A reschedule may include an online or digital version of the Event.
  2. Donate Your Ticket/s: Ticket holders can choose to donate their ticket/s to the artists and Venues of the Event (less any Booking and Transaction Fees which will be retained by Cabaret Fringe Festival).
  3. Refund: Ticket holders may request a full refund (less any Booking and
    Transaction Fees which will be retained by Cabaret Fringe Festival). Artists and venues will not receive any payment in this instance.

Under the LPA Ticketing Code of Practice, Cabaret Fringe Festival is not required to provide a remedy if:

  • A ticket holder is well and does not wish to attend an Event due to fears of exposure to Coronavirus (COVID-19); or
  • A ticket holder is unwell and does not attend an Event (other than due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) illness or symptoms); or
  • A ticket holder is from a group at a higher risk of Coronavirus (COVID-19); or
  • A ticket holder is denied entry into the Event for reasons which were disclosed to the ticket holder in the ticket terms and conditions at the time of sale. For example, these reasons may include (but not be limited to) non-compliance with mandatory mask wearing or unwillingness to provide personal contact information when requested; or
  • The ticket holder attends the performance and subsequently leaves part way through due to feeling unwell.
  • If required to self-isolate, ticket holders may be entitled to a remedy if: Ticket holders have contacted Cabaret Fringe Festival ticketing no later than 6 hours prior to their Event start time and a discussion has occurred in regards to their ticketing options.
  • Proof of mandatory isolation is provided if requested by Cabaret Fringe Festival ticketing no later than 6 hours prior the performance start time.

If you are feeling unwell with Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms and hold tickets to an upcoming performance contact 0417834549 immediately to discuss your options. Cabaret Fringe Festival strongly discourages patrons to attend Events when they are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. We will work with the ticket holder to find a remedy in the best interests of both the ticket holder and the artist.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Conditions of Entry:
If you and/or the members of your group are unwell, or have experienced cold or flu like symptoms within the last 14 days, and/or you or any members of your group have been in contact with someone with Coronavirus (COVID-19) and/or have returned from interstate or overseas and have been advised to isolate, we ask that you do not attend any Cabaret Fringe Festival Event or venue until you are well again and/or have been released from isolation and cleared by Coronavirus (COVID-19) testing.

If you are attending an Event as part of a group, as the primary ticket purchaser, you are responsible for knowing the contact details of all attendees in your group. In the event you are contacted directly by the Government, including the Department of Health for the purpose of contact tracing, you must:

  1. make the contact details of you and your group available and
  2. contact each member of your group, and request that they provide their contact details directly to the relevant health authorities.

Venue management have a right to evict patrons who are displaying Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms. If an eviction from an Event occurs, the ticket holder and/or accompanying group will not be entitled to a refund or exchange.

Ticket scalping is illegal. Tickets may not be resold or offered for resale at a premium price. Use of tickets in a manner which breaches any of these terms and conditions may attract criminal penalties.

Latecomers

The venues’ management reserves the right to deny entry to an event if you arrive late. Many shows have a strict no latecomer policy and no refunds will be issued if you are denied entry. Latecomer policies are in place to prevent disruption to the performers and other audience members. Shows will endeavour to commence at the advertised time, please ensure you are at the event well in advance of the performance start time.

Lost Tickets

Replacement of lost or stolen tickets is subject to approval from the event organiser.

Concession card holders

Holders of valid concession cards are eligible for concession price tickets, where applicable. This includes seniors, students and health care card holders. You may be asked to show your valid concession card when purchasing or collecting your tickets or on entering the venue and may be denied entry should you fail to supply valid ID relating to your concession.

Companion Card

Companion Card holders are entitled to a complimentary ticket for their companion, when purchased with a paid ticket at venues affiliated with the Companion Care.
