The Cabaret Fringe Festival features the best of home-grown and national talent side by side – representing the breadth of artistic expression for cabaret in Australia. Our primary purpose is to provide a platform where artists, emerging and experienced, can perform, try new art, and connect with new and curious audiences.

The Cabaret Fringe is a vital addition to the winter calendar for South Australia and an income-generating opportunity for artists and venues. Estimates show that our audience numbers are an indication of growth and improvement on the 2019* festival. Through our festival, artists find a home and a dedicated audience in the clubs, bars, lounges and venues of Adelaide. Shows will attract audiences from in and around Adelaide and South Australia. With various cabaret performances on offer and affordable ticket prices, our audiences are diverse and representative of the broader South Australian community.

Cabaret connects audience and performer like no other art form – it is inventive, exciting, interactive, musical and memorable. This festival ignites and celebrates Adelaide’s cultural and artistic communities and showcases some of the best emerging talent around.

We hope to continue developing the festival year-on-year, offering audiences opportunities to view more live performance through winter and allowing the artists more avenues to perform, practice and perfect their art form, and generate income.

Any funds that we raise will be invested into extending our marketing and promotional offering and our ticket and administration systems for our future festivals. By increasing our presence online and in print media, we can continue to grow our audiences and, ultimately, put more into the pockets of local and national cabaret artists. With funds to put towards administration, we will be able to engage local arts administrators’ services further to improve the festival experience for artists and audiences alike.
