The Crown and Sceptre Hotel has two available spaces for Cabaret Fringe.
The Band Room is our largest room with a standing capacity of 100 or a seated capacity between 50-100 people, depending on room configuration and stage size required. The room is not fully enclosed as a performance space, but has curtains to maintain privacy in the show and also blacks out the room from natural light. The band room has hosted Cabaret Fringe Shows is 2015, and numerous Adelaide Fringe Festival Shows ranging from burlesque to comedy and is considered one of Adelaide’s best live band rooms. The band room comes complete with L’Acoustic PA sound system including a 32 channel mixing desk with graphic equalisers + cables, microphones, stands, DIs and all the usual band venue bells and whistles. This space also come with a “green room” available for performers’ use.
The “Upstairs Room” is a smaller more intimate space that holds approximately 36 people theatre-style with a 2x2m stage available. This room has more limited PA equipment and would suit a performer just starting out and not expecting massive numbers. The room is carpeted and has its own balcony.
