Tickets will sell quickly to this variety gala featuring some of Adelaide’s best old and new talent. Hosted by AFL Masters team The Southern Slugs, the event will also support those affected by the Kangaroo Island bushfires.
Headlining a cracking line-up of local talent is Australian Music Legend John Swan OBE (Swanee). SA Music Hall of Fame legend Rob Pippan will join Swanee for this rare hometown appearance. He’ll perform in his ‘Rumours – the Fleetwood Mac Show’ alongside Nanette Van Ruiten who breathtakingly recreates the sound of Stevie Nicks. Local Folk Music newcomer Dieter Horvat will round out this stellar line-up.
In true variety fashion, this remarkable night of entertainment is more than just music. You’re guaranteed a triple-dose of laughs with host Fabien Clark, comedy superstar Mickey D and rising star Jarryd Goundrey taking the stage. Australia’s Most Wanted Magician Steve Prior’s tricks will keep you guessing. And Michael Connell’s act combining comedy and impressive juggling tricks will definitely surprise and delight.
But this unique line-up of entertainment is more than just a fun night out. Opportunities to travel overseas and play AFL have been limited. So, organiser Peter Oldfield and his players have turned their focus to support Kangaroo Island after the devastating bushfires. Proceeds from the auction will help the island’s rebuilding efforts. Items up for grabs include luxury accommodation and signed AFL memorabilia.
